Sony Acquires Pining Headphone Gaming Premium, Make PS5?
JAKARTA - Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has just acquired Audeze, a leading audio technology brand and high-end gaming headphone pioneer.
This acquisition will strengthen SIE's efforts to continue to innovate in terms of audio gaming experiences on PlayStation. However, Audeze will operate independently while benefiting from being part of the SIE ecosystem.
"We are excited to bring Audeze's expertise into the PlayStation ecosystem, continuing the big steps we have made with the 3D Tempest AudioTech PlayStation 5 and 3D Pulse wireless headset," said senior vice president of the SIE platform experience, Hideaki Nishino.
Based in Santa Ana, California, United States (US), Audeze is a producer who won awards for the professional audio, audiofil and game markets.
The headphone uses Audeze's patented technology and a unique planar magnetic driver to deliver a tremendous voice experience for consumers and record professionals, including voice technicians in many game development studios.

Audeze designed and produced planar magnetic drivers and professional headphones at its own manufacturer, as quoted fromBusiness Wire, Friday, August 25.
Information on the acquisition comes as Sony introduces new Pulse-branded earphones and headsets specifically designed for PlayStation 5.
It is the Earbud Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite headset, which uses dedicated planar magnetic drivers as well as new low latency audio technology called the PlayStation Link.
Both are optimized for PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and the upcoming PlayStation Portal while also working with PC and Mac. Both Earbud Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite headsets will launch later this year.
