Ahead Of The Implementation Of The Ticket, The DKI Provincial Government Frees Emission Tests In Hundreds Of Workshops
Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Asep Kuswanto, said that residents could conduct free emission tests in hundreds of workshops to make it easier for the public ahead of the implementation of the emission test ticket in Jakarta.
"There will be a fine by the police who will be subject to a ticket for the process in court, this week's relief we invite workshops with emission test services to ratify services for Jakarta residents," Asep said in a virtual discussion, Thursday, August 24.
Asep said that this free emission test service is available in hundreds of workshops that are already connected to the system owned by the DKI Provincial Government. The list of workshops that serve free emission tests for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles can be seen in the JAKI application.
"We have collected all the workshops with emis test services so that residents before the raid can carry out free emission tests. Several workshops that have been connected to us have more than 300 workshops for cars and 119 workshops for two-wheeled vehicles. It can be accessed at JAKI, which is located," said Asep.

For information, the Emission Test Task Force consisting of elements of the DKI Provincial Government, the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, and the Permanent Garnisun Command I/Jakarta will start ticketing motorized vehicles that have not or have not passed the emission test in Jakarta starting September 1, 2023.
This vehicle raid is law enforcement of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation and Regulation of Governor Number 66 of 2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests.
Asep said that this emission test ticket is one of the efforts of the DKI Provincial Government in reducing air pollution more effectively.
"After we promote our internal emission test, and everything has been implemented. We are starting to rush to promote this to all Jakartans so that emissions from moving sources can be controlled," said Asep.
Before the ticket is applied, the Emission Test Task Force will conduct trials or pre-razia operations in various areas in DKI Jakarta on Friday, August 25, 2023.
