DKI Provincial Government ASN Asked To Increase Public Transportation At Least Once A Week
JAKARTA - Head of the Environmental Pollution and Damage Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency, Erni Pelita Fitratunnisa, said that the DKI Provincial Government requires its employees to go to work using public transportation at least once a week.
"Require the ASN of the DKI Provincial Government to use public transportation at least 1 day a week," said Erni Pelita Fitratunnisa as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.
The policy was carried out as an effort to improve air quality in Jakarta.
In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also implemented a work from home (WFH) policy for some of its employees.
Meanwhile, to reduce the number of private vehicles on the highway, his party still applies an odd-even policy on main roads and applies a low-emission zone in the Kota Tua Jakarta area.
In addition, his party encourages the implementation of the obligation of two-wheeled vehicles and four-wheeled vehicles to pass the emission test, one of which is by charging high parking rates for vehicles that do not pass the emission test.
"The imposition of the highest parking rates for vehicles that have not passed the emission test or who have not passed the emission test and have been implemented in 11 locations," he said.

The DKI Provincial Government has also increased the capacity of Transjakarta which is targeted to reach 1.5 million trips per day by 2025.

The procurement of electric buses for Transjakarta continues to increase in number from year to year with a target of 532 units by 2024 and 1,050 units by 2025.
