Desperate To Go Against Direction, 7 Motorbikes Were Hit By A Truck In Lenteng Agung

JAKARTA - A truck on Lenteng Agung Street, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, crashed into 7 motorbikes going in opposite directions. As a result, a number of motorists were injured.

Head of Traffic Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Bayu Marfiando, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, August 22.

When asked about the cause of the accident, Bayu was reluctant to answer. Because the crime scene (TKP) is still being processed.

“Later, after the results of the TKP investigation, we will let you know,” said Bayu in a text message, Tuesday, August 22.

The Head of Jagakarsa Police, Kompol Multazam, said that his party had taken the victim to the hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the truck driver has been detained for further investigation.

“Brought the victim to Aulia Hospital, Andika Hospital, Zahirah Hospital. Securing the driver and evidence,” he said.

On that occasion, Multazam appealed to motorists not to go in opposite directions to prevent traffic accidents.

“We urge residents to obey traffic rules and maintain speed and not fight against the flow of traffic, because it endangers themselves as well as others,” he concluded.
