15 TPS In Rejang Lebong Have Extreme Paths
BENGKULU - There are 15 polling stations (TPS) for the 2024 General Election in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, difficult to reach because they are located far from the sub-district capital.
Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Rejang Lebong Ujang Maman said the number of polling stations for the 2024 General Election in Rejang Lebong Regency had been set in April 2023 as many as 816 polling stations spread over 15 sub-districts.
"Currently in Rejang Lebong Regency, there are still 15 polling stations that are categorized as difficult to reach because the capital city is far from the sub-district, and the road is difficult for four-wheeled vehicles to pass," said Maman, quoted from Antara. Sunday, August 20.
He explained that this difficult TPS is apart from being far from the sub-district capital as well as the terrain to get to its location is still extreme, both in the form of land and hilly roads.
According to him, although in Rejang Lebong Regency there are still Polling Stations that are difficult to reach but are not an obstacle in distributing logistics and implementing the upcoming 2024 General Election.

The TPS locations that are difficult to reach are four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, he said, are spread across five sub-districts including those in the Binduriang District, Padang City District, Sindang Beliti Ulu District and Sindang Beliti Ilir District.
According to him, the existence of the difficult TPS itself has existed since the previous elections, both legislative, presidential and regional elections, so that the distribution of election logistics must be carried out extra hard.
Meanwhile, of the 816 polling stations for the 2024 General Election, 156 villages/kelurahan in these 15 sub-districts are known in addition to 15 polling stations that are categorized as difficult to reach, there are also three special polling stations placed in the Curup Class II A Correctional Institution (Lapas).
