South OKU Prosecutor's Office Names 2 Suspects For Corruption In COVID-19 Funds
OGAN KOMERING ULU - The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra named two suspects in the alleged corruption case of funds for the procurement of COVID-19 prevention equipment for the 2022 fiscal year.
Head of South OKU Kajari Adi Purnama said the determination of the suspect in this case was after going through an investigation process for a period of eight months.
The two suspects, namely the initials FK and LY, acted as experts in South OKU Regency for the 2015 period until now.
The two perpetrators were named as suspects based on the results of an audit of the calculation of state losses for alleged corruption in the procurement of COVID-19 prevention equipment in 51 villages in Beringin Island District, Tiga Dihaji District, Kisam Ilir and Banding Agung District, South OKU Regency for the 2022 budget year.

The suspect is suspected of enriching himself from the procurement of COVID-19 prevention equipment in South OKU Regency with a state loss of Rp1.3 billion.
The two suspects are subject to corruption as stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 or Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
"The two suspects have not been detained because both of them were not present at the summons of the South OKU Special Prosecutor's Office because they were sick," he said.
