JAKARTA - Sheemar Rahman Puradiredja or who is familiarly called Sheemar followed in the footsteps of his father's career, Angga Puradiredja (vocalist of Maliq & D Essentials) debuted as a singer at the age of 12.
Sheemar debuted as a singer by releasing a single titled Yang Mereka Bilang Cinta, which was released on August 11 yesterday.
Yang They Say Love was created by the songwriters Dimas Wibisana and Bianca Nelwan, whose lyrics are adjusted to the age of Sheemar who is entering adolescence.
This song tells the story of a teenager who is confused because he feels a flowering feeling that has never been felt before.
Assisted by Barsena as a vocal director, Sheemar underwent a process of composing songs for a month, ranging from workshops, take vocals, to mixing and mastering.
"One of the parts I like about this song is in the chorus. I think the chorus for this song is very memorable and early catchy," said Sheemar.
Angga Puradiredja's wife, Melanie Putria, said that she and her husband had been waiting for their son's debut as a singer. It is hoped that this single will be the beginning of Sheemar's career in the music world.
"Sheemar has a big passion for singing, and that background has made me her mother and father who have been in the entertainment industry for a long time feel proud," said Melanie Putria.
