Success With Ioniq 5, Hyundai Officially Launches Ioniq 6 In Indonesia
Hyundai officially presents the Ioniq 6 electric sedan at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
The arrival of Hyundai Ioniq 6 in Indonesia is inseparable from the success of its predecessor, Ioniq 5, which is one of the best-selling electric cars in the country.
"Today allow us to introduce our newest product. Let's welcome for Indonesia Bright and Brilliant Future," said Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), Fransiscus Soerjopranoto at the launch of Hyundai Ioniq 6 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Monday, August 14.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 has dimensions with a length of 4,855 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. With this size, Ioniq 6 offers relief to its users.
Different from the Malaysian market which provides two types, HMID presents one variant for Ioniq 6, namely All-Wheel Drive (AWD). This car is required to be a competitor to the Tesla Model 3 and Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan.
The AWD variant has a double electric motor driving all wheels that can produce a combined power of up to 320 dk and a 605 Nm torque capable of recording high performance from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.1 seconds.
The electric power joins the energy of the lithium-ion polymer 77.4 kWh battery which can produce a maximum distance of up to 519 km.
Based on the E-GMP platform, the architecture has the expertise to receive voltages of up to 800V which makes Ioniq 6 have charging capability from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes with a DC 350 kW fast charging system.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 is provided in various color choices, consisting of Abyss Black Pearl, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Digital Green Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocturne Gray Matte, Serenity White Pearl and Ultimate Red Metallic.

The price set is fairly reasonable because Ioniq 6 is still imported from South Korea. In contrast to Ioniq 5 which has been produced locally and is cheaper IDR 300 million.
