This Is The Meaning Of The "Silky & Bold" Design In Mitsubishi XForce
JAKARTA - After a long wait, the Mitsubishi XForce was officially presented in Indonesia as a compact SUV. The vehicle is a new all-new model that offers several interesting things.
One of the interesting things about XForce is its exterior design. Based on XFC Concept, XForce comes with the theme "Silky & Solid", which is defined as a soft design like strong silk.
In terms of design, this car has urban aesthetics that are suitable for the ASEAN region. With inspiration from the XFC Concept design, XForce features a striking front goal with the iconic logo "Three Diamonds" in it.
Mitsubishi Motors Corp's Design Director Program, Naoki Akita, explains that the concept of "Silky" has the latest meaning of misery and joy in appearance, when XForce moves, this car will flow like silk (silky).
"The flexibility starts from the logo of our three diamonds at the front and flows naturally along the side surface. The visible floating roof and the pillar C architecture increase the overall impression that is smooth and elegant," said Akita in a press conference session of GIIAS 2023 with the media at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Friday, December 11.
As for "Solid", Akita says this is the basis for the design of all Mitsubishi models that display solidity and reliability, so that they have a high level of safety.
"So, the result is a presence that looks authoritative on the road, in fact, a higher point of view such as an SUV provides excellent visibility drivers," said Akita.
Despite its compact size, the SUV is known as the "The New SUV" and offers a wide space with a length of 4,390 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, and a height of 1,660 mm.
Mitsubishi has also released a number of flagship features that will be presented in its latest SUV ahead of launch. One of the interesting features is various driving modes, such as Normal, Gravel, Wet, and Mud.
These four modes allow XForce to address various road conditions with Active Yaw Control (AYC) controls, which dynamically regulate left and right wheels, traction, tire movements, engines, and power steering.
This Japanese manufacturer also collaborates with Yamaha to present the audio system "Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium", providing quality entertainment for car users.
Powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16 machine with CVT transmission connected to the front wheel (FWD), Mitsubishi XForce is capable of generating 104 dk of power and torques reaching 141 Nm.
