Enlivening GIIAS 2023, Porsche Brings The Company's 75th Anniversary Spirit
JAKARTA - Porsche Indonesia made a breakthrough at GIIAS 2023 by showing off its flagship sports cars The New Cayenne and 911 Dakar at their booths. The presence of these two cars at GIIAS 2023 has strong reasons.
In response to the high demand for the SUV, Porsche dared to present Cayenne in Indonesia with a five-seater configuration which is a popular car around the world.
"Through a series of incredible improvements, including highly digitized display concepts, sharper designs, new chassis technologies, and high-tech innovative features, we believe that our latest Cayenne will further strengthen its reputation as one of the most sporting options in the SUV segment," said Alexander. Riedel, General Manager of Porsche Indonesia, during a press conference.
The third generation of Cayenne presents striking changes, both in the exterior touch, powertrain, and technology embedded in the car.
Different from the previous generation, the appearance outside of Cayenne is more expressive with the addition of the latest engine hood and HD Matrix front light which emphasizes the impression of the width of the car. The back also undergoes a redesign that gives a touch of sporty. Customers can choose a rim measuring 20, 21, or 22 inches as desired.
The New Cayenne performance is even more impressive thanks to the 3.0 liter V6 turbo engine which is capable of generating up to 353 dk of power and 500 Nm of torque. For the highest variant, namely Cayenne S, there is a 4.0 liter biturbo engine with a power of 474 dk and a 600 Nm torque.

Meanwhile, to celebrate Porsche 911's 60th anniversary, Porshe also showcased the Porsche 911 Dakar at the GIIAS 2023 event. This 911 car has been specially modified for off-road racing, inspired by the 953 model that won the Paris-Dakar Reli in 1984.
Porsche 911 Dakar has a ground clearance of 50 mm higher than its standard version. With this, Porsche 911 Dakar is ready to face various track conditions with high reliability.
"Present to full action, Porsche 911 Dakar is a perfect combination of Porsche tradition and technology. This is a tribute to the successful legacy of our racing car, but also shows the latest innovation that proves that the Porsche 911 concept is almost unlimited," said Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific.
This car is equipped with a special chassis configuration that has enhanced underbody protection, with additional steel crane hooks on the front and rear. Even though it comes with sturdy components, Porsche 911 Dakar remains light thanks to the use of carbon fiber components.
Despite being aimed at off-road terrain, Porsche 911 Dakar still provides extraordinary performance thanks to a flat-six 3.0 liter biturbo engine capable of generating up to 479 dk of power, combined with eight PDK transmissions.
In addition, Porsche Indonesia also celebrated their 75th factory anniversary with special decorations. At the exhibition booth, there are six cars representing each model.
