Gerindra Yakin Prabowo Wins The Presidential Election If There Are No Extraordinary Events

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, believes that Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto will win the 2024 presidential election if there are no extraordinary incidents, based on a number of survey institutions that he considers reliable.

"Many survey institutions say that if there is no extraordinary incident, Mr. Prabowo becomes president. It will be confirmed that Mr. Prabowo will become president," Habiburokhman said in a virtual gathering event "Financial Briefing and Consolidation of Prabowo Volunteers" reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.

He also made an analogy with Prabowo Subianto's superior electability position as in football, so that the glory should not be careless to be maintained so as not to concede by opponents.

"Almost all survey institutions that are very reliable (recording) are now very superior, because it is like playing football, when we are superior then we have to be more careful, for example, like playing football has won, don't concede," he said.

According to him, Prabowo Subianto's current position is also much better than in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.

"Now with our position not opposite to power much better, and all our programs, our vision and mission is conveyed more freely without any power disturbances," he said.

Because, he continued, the Gerindra Party in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections was out of power, and was considered the underdog political party.

"At that time we were underdogs, and they were out of power so that even though we won, sometimes it was very difficult to make sure that victory really materialized on paper or became a concrete victory in the results of the KPU calculations," he said.

For this reason, the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR invited the Prabowo campaign team to launch a positive campaign during the momentum of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

"It is enough that we spread positive narratives, narratives that we are mediating, narratives that we protect all elements of the nation, including our two competitors; Kubu G and Kubu A," he said.

Instead, he asked to avoid a negative campaign by aggressively attacking, slandering or relegating opponents.

"Thus I think this victory will continue to be maintained. We stay away from the campaign methods to beat each other, beat each other on social media, slander each other, we stay away from each other, we maximize positive campaigns," he said.

Including campaigning for the sustainability and stability of government programs. "Because this is indeed our tagline, how we will continue all the achievements of Pak Jokowi's performance and achievements in the upcoming government when led by Pak Prabowo," explained Habiburokhman.
