Caught On Camera, Tesla Model 3 Facelift Will Be Mass Produced In September In China
JAKARTA - It seems that the facelift model of the Tesla Model 3 will soon appear. The car, known as the "Project Highland", is currently undergoing trials at Tesla's Chinese Gigafactory in Shanghai.
The news about the emergence of this model is getting stronger after it was revealed by Twitter user @liuwen_52, who reported that the plant had started testing production for the Tesla Model 3 facelift.
InsideEVs reported Tuesday, August 8, the automotive company owned by Elon Musk plans to start mass production of the Tesla Model 3 facelift in September, with plans for delivery starting in October.
The Tesla Model 3 facelift will use a 66 kWh M3P battery supplied by Ningde. By using iron phosphate raw materials for lithium manganes, it is hoped that this material can optimize battery capacity for the Model 3.
As is known, the Ningde Times will supply lithium-ion batteries by the end of 2025. Although its presence is certain, the delivery of Model 3 units to European territory may experience delays.
Tesla estimates that the order for the Model 3 will begin to be met between October and November, with a rear-wheel drive variant and the furthest distance.
Meanwhile, the Tesla Model 3 New Performance is scheduled to begin shipping between November 2023 and January 2024. Currently, this shipment only applies to the left driving variant.

With its various advanced components, the Tesla Model 3 will be valued at around 200,000 yuan or around Rp422 million. "Project Highland" has been under development since mid-2022.
