JAKARTA - The case of sexual harassment that occurred at the Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 event is still ongoing. In the midst of this chaos, several people from the board of directors chose to resign from their positions.
Eldwen Wang or Wang Jin Seok announced his resignation from the CEO position of Miss Universe Indonesia through social media. He explained the reason he resigned was because he wanted to focus on his career in Surabaya.
"It is an honor for me to be CEO of Miss Universe Indonesia during my tenure," Eldwen Wang wrote in English.
"I'm sorry, over time, I have to make a decision to focus on my previous career and work in my hometown," he continued.
Moments later, Rio Motret as the visual director of Miss Universe Indonesia also said the same thing. He chose to resign so he could focus on future projects.
"Hello, I'm Rio Motret and through this opportunity I want to tell you that my trip with Miss Universe Indonesia has ended," wrote Rio Motret.
A very beautiful and extraordinary journey, many challenges, fun and new experiences. But I have to say goodbye to Miss Universe Indonesia so that I can focus on future projects," he said again.
