This Is The Latest Condition Of Lostprophets Vocalist, Ian Watkins Who Was Stabbed In Prison

JAKARTA - Police shared the latest news about an injury suffered by Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins after he was stabbed in prison.

The former humiliated vocalist is currently serving a 29-year sentence, with a license of six years, at HMP Wakefield for various child sex offenses, including attempted rape of babies.

The Mirror reported on Sunday that Watkins was attacked and held hostage by three other inmates on Saturday morning, August 5. After being found and released by officers, he was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating the incident that occurred on Saturday at HMP Wakefield. We cannot comment further while police are investigating, a prison service spokesman told The Mirror.

Now, West Yorkshire Police are giving the latest news about Watkins' condition.

The West Yorkshire Police were told by staff at HMP Wakefield about the attack on a detainee in the afternoon of Saturday, August 5. He was taken to a hospital where his injuries were not considered life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing," they said.

Watkins was jailed in December 2013 after pleading guilty for 13 sex offenses at the Cardiff Crown Court, including attempted rape of the baby mentioned above, conspiring to rape a child, three counts of sexual assault involving children, seven involving the retrieval, manufacture, or possession of child indecent images and one of them possessing images of extreme pornography involving animal sex.
