Regarding The Competition For "The New SUV" In The Indonesian Market, MMKSI: We Are Confident
PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), as the distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Indonesia, has officially shown the face of the "The New SUV" which will make its debut in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
This compact SUV carries the concept of "Silky & Solid" which features a tough but stylish design, making it suitable for use in urban areas, especially in ASEAN.
With this revolutionary design, the President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, expressed optimism that this vehicle will be well received by the Indonesian people.
"We are very optimistic about this product. As can be seen, this product has a futuristic and luxurious design," said Kurita as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.
Not only offering a futuristic and dashing design, Mitsubishi also embeds a collaboration audio system with Yamaha. This makes Kurita confident that this "The New SUV" will be able to compete in the Indonesian market.
"We believe we can compete in the national SUV segment. We hope to compete with existing models in Indonesia," he added.
Despite having a compact dimension, "The New SUV" will compete with Hyundai Creta and Honda HR-V in the Indonesian market. This vehicle has a size that is quite relieved with a length of 4,390 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, and a height of 1,660 mm.
With a ground clearance height of 222 mm, these vehicle customers do not need to worry when passing through mounds or uneven road surfaces.
Mitsubishi has revealed several features that will exist in this latest SUV before its launch. One of them is driving mode, namely Normal, Gravel, Wet, and Mud.
Although the full specifications have not been disclosed, Mitsubishi ensures that this "The New SUV" will be equipped with a 1.5 liter engine combined with CVT transmission and front wheel drive (FWD).
