JAKARTA - Lady Gaga paid a sincere tribute to her music icon and true friend, Tony Bennett, following the news of her death.

The legendary American singer died on July 21 in his hometown of New York, after battling Alzheimer's disease for a long time. He is 96 years old.

Since releasing his debut album Because Of You in 1952, the vocalist has released more than 70 albums, winning 20 Grammy awards and collaborating with several big names in the music industry, including Sir Paul McCartney and Aretha Franklin.

His last studio album was Love For Sale, a collaborative collection with Lady Gaga which was released in 2021.

Previously, they joined the album Cheek To Cheek which was released nine years ago.

Now, after her death earlier this month, Lady Gaga has expressed her loss in public for the first time, and shared her touching respect for musicians and true friends.

In addition to the photo of the two of them hugging which was shared on July 30, he equipped it with a special message.
