Guitar Fender Producer Opens First Flagship Store At Harajuku Tokyo
JAKARTA - The well-known guitar producer from California, United States, Fender opened his first flagship store in the company's 77th anniversary in Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan, at the end of last June.
Located at THE ICE CUBES, an iconic building at the Omotesando-Harajuku mode center, Fender Flagship Tokyo will cover four floors consisting of one underground floor and three upper floors designed by the Klein Dytham Architecture (KDA).
Designed for all music lovers, 'Fender Flagship Tokyo' is more than just a conventional music store, offering a unique musical experience for all visitors.
The store will provide a complete suite of Fender products, including Fender Custom Shop total, Made in the US and Made in Japan models, acoustic guitars, ukulele, amplifiers, pedals and others. The main store will also have an original coffee shop "FENDER CAFE powered by VERVE COFFEE ROASTERS" and an event room that can host various events such as broadcast shows, panel discussions, performances and workshops.
"We are excited to be able to share details from our first major store, which opened on June 30, as well as new information about services that our customers can expect," said Asia Pacific Region President Fender Music Corporation Japan Edward "Bud" Cole in a statement on the company's website, as quoted July 25.
Along with the opening of the store, Fender will also launch a new Japanese fashion brand, "F IS FOR FENDER" which can be purchased at the main store of Fender Tokyo.

Fender was first founded in California in 1946, citing Kyodo News. Fender's first-made stratocal guitar in the 1950s has become a major choice for a number of well-known rock musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison toUCH total.
At a day's event ahead of the opening of the shop, CEO Fender Musical Instruments Corp. Andy happened to reveal that the surge in the number of people playing guitar during the coronavirus pandemic was proof of the long-lasting appeal of instruments.
