The Proposal Of The Governor Of Banten To Evaluate PPDB Is Due To Many Problems And Complaints
TANGERANG In order for no more people to be disappointed with the current system, Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar proposed to the Central Government (Pempus) to re-evaluate the implementation of the New Student Admissions (PPDB) as a whole.
"So we are consolidating and at the same time evaluating things that need to be improved. Because this authority is limited, and of course we will communicate to the Ministry of Education and Culture to be evaluated," said Muktabar in his statement, Kams, July 27.
"Because of the many problems (PPDB) so that it can be expected by the community," he continued.
The congress explained that the proposal was due to the large number of people who complained to the local government, but it was not followed up further.
(Pemda) is only a technical implementer in the field from the Permendikbud PPDB. So our authority is limited in merivew over the circumstances of this problem," he said.

He also assessed that the problem of the PPDB system did not occur only in educational units that were under the authority of the provincial government. However, this also occurs in educational units at the district/city level.
"Now we are still reviewing technically, because this is also PPDB not only in SMA, SMK and SKH which are under provincial authority. But also in regencies/cities," he said.
Therefore, he admitted that he would explore the existing problems, his party is currently continuing to carry out direct monitoring of the implementation of new student admissions.
"We are still monitoring, like yesterday we went directly to schools in Banten," he concluded.
