Arrest 22 Drug Suspects In 1 Month, NTB Police Secure 2 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine, 3.8 Kg Of Marijuana And 930 Tramadol Points
NTB - Police secured 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (kg) and 3.8 kg of marijuana during the arrest of 22 suspects in 14 drug cases throughout May-June 2023 in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The disclosure also confiscated illegal drugs included in the list of G such as 930 Tramadol pills and 710 Trihexyphenidil pills.
"So, of the 14 cases that were revealed, we managed to confiscate a large number of various types of drugs and illegal drugs," said Director of Drug Investigation at the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Deddy Supriadi, in Mataram, NTB, Friday, July 21, as reported by Antara.
Deddy said the evidence of drugs in a sizeable amount was revealed in the East Lombok region.
He explained that the first case was secured with evidence of 1.8 kg of methamphetamine. From this disclosure, one suspect, a resident of Karang Anyar, Masbagik District, East Lombok Regency, was taken to the police station.
"This perpetrator ordered methamphetamine from Batam. The goods came with a weight of 2.5 kilograms. 700 grams have been circulated, so what we confiscated was (1.8 kilograms), the rest," he said.
Furthermore, the disclosure of other prominent cases related to the delivery of 2.1 kg of marijuana from the Sumatra region. This case was revealed from the results of the development of public information and customs.
"We confiscated the evidence in the form of a package sent from one of the freight expedition offices in the Sikur area, East Lombok Regency. Our package was confiscated without finding any recipients of the goods," he said.
A similar mode was also revealed with 9 ounces of marijuana evidence. The evidence was confiscated from a man after taking the package from the freight expedition office.
"This package also comes from the Sumatra region," said Deddy

Regarding the drugs included in list G, he continued, it was revealed from two locations of arrests, namely in the areas of Gomong, Mataram City, and Kopang, Central Lombok Regency.
"From these two locations we confiscated evidence and the perpetrators who sold illegally," he said.
Furthermore, of the 22 suspects arrested in these 14 cases, Deddy said that his party had made arrests. The legal process against the suspects is currently in the filing stage.
"Therefore, last Thursday (July 20) we destroyed all the evidence for the completeness of the file," said Deddy.
As a suspect, investigators apply the allegations of Article 111 paragraph (2), Article 112 paragraph (2) and/or Article 114 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
"For the suspect in the distribution of drug list G, we apply the allegations of Article 196 and Article 197 of Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health," he said.
