Coordinating Minister Airlangga Appreciated The Support Of Local Governments In Increasing The Quality Of Economic Growth And Anticipating The Impact Of El-Nino
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, expressed his appreciation for the support of the Regional Government in improving the quality of Indonesia's economic growth. Data from the 1st quarter of 2023 shows that economic growth reached 5.03% (yoy) with inflation 3.5% (yoy) in June 2023. Coordinating Minister Airlangga also directed a focus on food security and a decrease in extreme poverty to a target close to 0 by 2024.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto expressed this appreciation at the National Working Meeting of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI) at Nusantara Hall II ICE Bumi Serpong Damai, Thursday, July 20. He emphasized that Indonesia is one of the G20 countries that has high economic growth.
In addition, Coordinating Minister Airlangga also reminded the Regional Government to prepare for the impact of El-Nino which could have an impact on national food production. In an effort to control inflation, strengthening connectivity through infrastructure development and access to financing through People's Business Credit (KUR) for the agricultural sector is the focus.

In the question and answer session, Coordinating Minister Airlangga emphasized the importance of implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) companies in their regions for the community so that they can benefit from the investment. APKASI also plays a role in assisting the Government in communicating related regulations.
Apart from Airlangga Hartarto, the meeting was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, as well as representatives from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy and APKASI.
