Akan Debut Di Pasar Indonesia, GWM Menunjuk Bos Baru Untuk Wilayah ASEAN

JAKARTA - Several automotive manufacturers from China are preparing to introduce their products in the global market.

One of them is the Great Wall Motor (GWM), which will launch its vehicles in various countries. After successfully entering the European market, GWM tried its luck in the ASEAN region.

Recently, GWM appointedIM Cheng as the new president of GWM ASEAN. Cheng was previously responsible for the GWM marketing division for Russian territory. GWM was greatly impressed by Cheng's achievements in developing the GWM market in Russia.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, July 11, Cheng joined GWM since 2002 and in 2019, he became Vice President of Haval, a sub-brand of GWM, in Russian territory. During his tenure, he managed to lead marketing and sales efforts in Russia so that Russia became one of the most successful foreign markets for GWM.

In February, Cheng returned to an important position in China as Assistant Chief Growth Officer. In this position, he plays a role in developing regional marketing strategies, networks, user operations, and insurance-related management.

With his new position as president of GWM ASEAN, it is hoped that GWM can penetrate more countries in Southeast Asia that have previously not been explored by these Chinese producers, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and even Indonesia.

"I am honored and excited to join GWM ASEAN. This appointment comes at the right time as we strengthen xEV positions and expand our presence in the ASEAN region through our ASEAN 6+3 ambitious plans," Cheng said.

Cheng added that GWM is committed to creating innovations and quality that suit consumer needs, supported by the experience possessed by GWM.

"Together with the talented team at GWM, we will take advantage of our commitment to customer innovation, quality and satisfaction to push brands to new levels and provide our honorable products and experiences to our customers," added Cheng.

GWM is one of the largest manufacturers from China and will make its debut in Indonesia at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

They will bring three brands that will represent the name GWM at the prestigious automotive exhibition, namely Ora, Haval, and Tanks. GIIAS 2023 will take place from August 10 to 20 at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
