Jabodebek LRT Tariffs Set To Start From IDR 5,000 For The First Kilometer
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) said it had set the Jabodebek LRT tariff. Where for the first kilometer it is set at a price of Rp. 5,000. Later, the amount of this tariff will be officially issued through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation (Kepmenhub).
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation, Adita Irawati, revealed that the issuance of the Minister of Transportation regarding the Jabodebek LRT tariff is currently in the process of legal administration.
This regulation, said Adita, is targeted to be completed in the near future. Even so, Adita did not specify the date of the issuance of the Minister of Transportation.
"The tariff (LRT Jabodebek) is IDR 5,000 for the first km and then IDR 700 per km. The PM will wait," he told reporters, Monday, July 10.
Currently, said Adita, the Ministry of Transportation is intensively conducting a series of testing of the Jabodebek LRT to ensure the readiness of operations and safety aspects ahead of commercial operations. Testing is carried out in terms of the readiness of facilities, infrastructure and human resources (HR).
Testing carried out related to human resources (HR) such as athletes' training, processors, Station supervisors, automatic train centralized operating controllers, inspection officers, and facilities and infrastructure maintenance officers. Then, testing infrastructure such as stations, rails, signaling, and others. as well as testing facilities, namely a series of trains.

Adita said the progress of readiness, both in terms of facilities, infrastructure and human resources, had reached an average of around 97 percent. Testing will continue to be carried out together with the operator.
"This series of tests is carried out until the Jabodebek LRT is declared to have passed the test and is certified and is like an operation. Hopefully, all tests will run smoothly so that they can be operated according to the target, namely in August 2023," he said.
After conducting a series of these tests, the Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) will issue a test result certificate. Then an operating permit will be issued by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub).
