Gus Miftah's Response After The Top Survey Of Indonesian Netizens' Choices Of Ulama And Dai

Gus Miftah was elected as a scholar and the choice of netizens according to the results of the Jayabaya Engine X survey in the context of the discussion between Ulama and Dai of the Choice of Indonesian Netizens (Mix Base).

The survey collected 1,626 respondents, of which the variables included talks on social media with a time span ranging from January 1, 2023 to July 8, 2023.

Of the 18 clerical names that emerged, Gus Miftah was in first position with a percentage of 12.8 percent. In the next position there are Gus Baha's names with 11.3 percent and Gus Muwafiq with 10.2 percent.

For what was stated in the survey, Gus Miftah responded casually. He was actually embarrassed when he was called a popular religious leader. The 41-year-old cleric saw popularity and harmony as a test.

"In fact, I feel ashamed actually, when there is a survey or whatever the name is, about Ustaz being liked. Because for me there is only one goal for the da'wah, Lillahi Kalicalah, solely to get grace and pleasure from Allah SWT," said Gus Miftah via voice message to the media crew, Sunday, July 9.

"In fact, this is a more in-depth instropy, that this is a test, that popularity and harmony come from Allah and Allah also removes it from the servant he wants," he continued.

Gus Miftah said that everything he got was from God and returned to Him.

"God gives it to what he wants and Allah will remove it from what he wants. Yes, we will return everything to Allah," he said.

Furthermore, Gus Miftah said that the path of da'wah he chose did have two possible risks, was liked or hated. He chose to respond to what came to him, including the results of the survey, as something common in his life journey.

I admit it as normal. Because life contains only two, likes sorrow. When we are tested with joy, we are grateful. When we are tested with grief, we are patient," concluded Gus Miftah.
