Suzuki Invicto, Latest MPV Toyota Innova Zenix Twins From India

JAKARTA - Collaboration between automotive manufacturers has occurred again in the development of the latest vehicle model. The purpose of this collaboration is to reduce jointly divided development costs.

Several companies have collaborated, for example, Toyota and BMW, which produced the Toyota GR Supra sports car, VW and Ford, which share a platform for electric vehicles, and Mitsubishi with Renault and Nissan, which produced the latest ministries models based on Renault Clio.

Recently, reported on the Carscoops page, Thursday, July 6, the collaboration between Suzuki and Toyota produced Suzuki Invicto, an MPV based on the Toyota Innova Zenix model. The MPV was introduced in India and is available in a capacity of seven or eight passengers, offering a more spacious space.

In terms of appearance, Suzuki Invicto looks similar to Toyota Innova Zenix on the front. However, Suzuki made few changes by adding a large culling with a chrom plate line and a striking Suzuki logo.

The design of the front bumper has also changed with the presence of a different air-intake and skid plate. Light graphs are also slightly changed following Suzuki's signature style.

The back also underwent a slight revision with an additional trim chrom around the intake water and an updated rear light. Overall, the back still bears a resemblance to Innova Zenix.

Built on the Toyota GA-C platform, Suzuki Invicto has a dimensions of 4,755 mm and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, providing convenience to users.

To provide comfort to drivers and passengers, Suzuki provides 10.1-inch touch-screen infotainment, 7-inch cluster instrument, and six-speaker audio system. Other features include ventilated seats, dual-zone air conditioning, panoramic roofs, 360-degree cameras, and six-airbags for safety. Suzuki also provides four modes on Invicto: EV, Normal, Eco, and Power.

Unlike the Toyota version, Suzuki Invicto is only available in the hybrid system. This MPV is equipped with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 150 dk of power combined with a 112 dk electric motor.

With this combination of power, Invicto was able to produce a combined power of up to 183 dk. This force is channeled to the front wheels through the e-CVT gearbox system.

Suzuki Invicto will be assembled at the Toyota Bidadi factory, India, sharing with Innova Zenix. The estimated price for this MPV is around 30,000 to 35.000 US dollars (around Rp454.3 million to Rp530 million).
