Long Targeted, 3 Dealers Of Methamphetamine In Mukomuko Finally Arrested

MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Resort Police (Polres), Bengkulu arrested three suspects in a drug case in Operation Antik Nala in the operational jurisdiction of the Mukomuko District Police.

Mukomuko Police Chief AKBP Nuswanto in Mukomuko, Wednesday, said that three drug suspects were caught in the 2023 Antik Nala operation in this area.

"These three suspects have the initials BD, AD, and DN with different evidence. These three suspects are part of a series of drug case developments," said Nuswanto, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.

The chronology of the arrest of this drug suspect, he said, began with the Narcotics Unit to observe and conduct surveillance of the residence of the suspect AD.

At that time, he said, officers saw AD and BD chatting beside the house, then the Narcotics Unit arrested AD and BD witnessed by village officials and residents.

Then the Narcotics Unit searched the body of the suspect AD, and found one package of methamphetamine in a bag of pants.

Subsequently, a search was carried out by the suspect's body BD so that a package of marijuana was found. Then again, seven packages of marijuana were found behind the house, precisely in the chicken coop.

He said the suspect kept drugs for market and consumption.

Meanwhile, suspect DN was arrested in Tirta Kencana Village, Air Rami District. The arrest of suspect DN began when the police conducted observations followed by patrols in Tirta Kencana Village.

At the time of patrol there was a suspicious man in the village. When he was dismissed, the man tried to escape. Then the man was arrested.

Then the Narcotics Unit contacted the village apparatus and conducted a search of DN, so that five packages of methamphetamine were found in a cigarette box.

Meanwhile, he said, cases of drug abuse of marijuana type were charged under Article 114 paragraph (1) sub-article 111 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning drugs with a minimum prison sentence of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years.
