Pre-Employment Director: ILC Conference Encourages Indonesia Towards Vision 2045
BALI - Executive Director of Pre-Employment Card Program Implementing, Denni Purbasari, said that the Inclusive Lifelong Learning Conference (ILLC) event could encourage Indonesia towards the 2045 Indonesian Vision.
"The work of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with UNESCO held a conference with the topic of inclusive life long learning. This topic is very important because it provides an opportunity for us to then achieve the 2045 vision," Denni said at a press conference at the ILC event in the Nusa Dua area, Bali, Monday, July 3.
He said, to achieve the 2045 vision, Indonesia needed productive human resources. To be productive, said Denni, Indonesian people must learn and renew their abilities throughout their lives.
Denni said that the education sector is usually interpreted as formal education from PAUD to college.
"But after college, we don't see any efforts to increase or provide opportunities to learn for adults or workers," he said.
Therefore, continued Denni, the Pre-Employment Card is present as a continuation program for formal education, ranging from 18 to 64 years old.
He assessed that at that age vulnerabilities often occur and have an impact on a group of workers which results in difficulties in adapting, especially for workers aged the middle of 30 to 40 years.
"Their ability is quite outdated, because generally they finish college at the age of 22 years," he said.

According to Denni, the Pre-Employment Card Program provides opportunities for them to renew their abilities, so that their abilities can continue to grow and can continue to work, even more productive until retirement.
"At this event, Indonesia shared its experience in learning throughout life, considering that this year, Indonesia is the chairman of ASEAN," he added.
Not only that, Indonesia is also responsible for sharing its experience in contributing to the world community because it is a member of the G20.
