New News From Jeff Ament About Pearl Jam's New Album
JAKARTA - Jeff Ament gave new news about Pearl Jam's new album. He said it "did not feel like an album".
In an interview last March, guitarist Stone Gossard confirmed that the process of working on Gigaton's follow-up album (2020) had already begun and Andrew Watt, who previously worked with Justin Bieber, was behind the production table.
While Gossard said they would try and complete the album as soon as possible, Ament actually said the opposite in the latest interview.
The hardest part of [solving] the album over and over again is to find out which song to record and whether we need to record another song and what its artwork is and what it's called and all that," he said, revealing that Pearl Jam was on a summer holiday.
"In September, we will still answer the questions we have about where we are and we will ask that question again," he added.
I think everyone is hoping we have a new album next year. If we have an album next year, that means we might be playing a few more shows, and I think there are some places we haven't been to for a long time, so I think we have a lot of plans.

About Pearl Jam's legacy and what she gave them when making new music, Ament added: "We have gained the right to [do whatever we want], and it's difficult because the five of us do it in a different way."
Sometimes you end up doing it in the opposite direction. But, [it's about] embracing all that, embracing everyone's ideas, hopes, dreams, and styles... I think that's what we expected, musically. I think we want to turn and access all the best parts of each other."
