JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) held a Socialization of Micro Business Regulations and Policies in 2023, in Jember, East Java.
This is done to transform micro-enterprises from informal to formal.
"In fact, micro and small business actors are still constrained by many problems towards a formal basis, especially related to the legality of business, capital, market, and conducive business continuity," said Deputy for Micro Business of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) Yulius in a statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 27.
Yulius said this was in accordance with the mandate of PP Number 7 of 2021 concerning Ease, Protection, and Empowerment of KUMKM.
Therefore, the Kemenkop UKM synergizes with Commission VI of the DPR RI to carry out the socialization activities.
In addition, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has now also carried out the mandate of PP Number 7 of 2021, by establishing a Legal Assistance and Assistance Service for Micro and Small Business actors, which can be accessed for all micro and small business actors for free.
"I hope that this activity will be useful for micro and small business actors, who have established businesses or products and have the potential to form partnerships with medium-sized businesses or large businesses," he said.
Therefore, he hopes that the participants of the activity who attended that day can observe what will be conveyed by the speakers, as provision for business development, and participate in this activity until it is finished.
"Local governments are also required to provide assistance and legal assistance services for micro and small business actors," said Yulius.
Furthermore, said Yulius, his party hopes that the Office in charge of Cooperatives and SMEs in Jember Regency, can immediately establish legal assistance and assistance services for micro and small business actors.
"The goal is that micro and small business actors who need legal assistance and business consultation services can be provided and served optimally," he said.
