One Hajj Candidate From Central Lombok NTB Dies In Makkah
NTB - Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) said a prospective pilgrim from Central Lombok died. The deceased died while undergoing a series of hajj services in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
"The pilgrims who were prospective for Hajj died at King Abdul Aziz Hospital because they were sick," said Head of Hajj and Umrah Organizers of the Ministry of Religion of Central Lombok Regency, Lalu Syamsul Hadi in Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Wednesday, June 21, confiscated by Antara.
A candidate for Hajj pilgrim who died was on behalf of Sahrun Bin Derun (78), a resident of the Wakul Environment, Renteng Village, Praya District, Central Lombok.
"The congregation who died was admitted to Group 02 which had been dispatched to the Holy Land of Mecca on June 7, 2023," he said.
Meanwhile, for the condition of the prospective pilgrims who have arrived in Makkah until Wednesday, June 21 are all in good health.
"Alhamdulillah, he is in good health, only flu and cough," he said.

Previously, the Ministry of Religion of Central Lombok Regency stated that 932 candidates for regular and reserve Hajj pilgrims were scheduled to leave for Makkah to carry out the 2023 Hajj pilgrimage.
"The quota of candidates for the Central Lombok Hajj pilgrims gets additional," he said.
Initially, there were 844 prospective pilgrims in Central Lombok. However, it took time to get an additional quota so that 932 pilgrims departed in 2023.
"Of the 932 pilgrims, 60 reserve pilgrims can be dispatched to the holy land of Makkah," he said.
He said that the departure of prospective Central Lombok pilgrims was divided into five groups, namely group 2, group 9, group 11, group 12 and group 13.
"The schedule for the Lombok Embarkation Hajj departure starts from June 7 to 22," said Syamsul Hadi.
