Megawati asked the Governor of Bali to prohibit the Balinese dance from being performed in hotels because of losing its spirit.
"I told Mr. Koster please don't dance Bali to take him to the hotel why? Because he lost his spirit, he was also cut off, nothing from the hand of the gong," said Megawati.
Responding to Megawati's statement, Koster said that dances related to traditions and ceremonies should not be commercialized. But of course there must be dances that can be brought to hotels, which are created and not traditional ones.
