Electric Short Circuit, Vihara Dharma Tedja In Tambora Burnt
JAKARTA - Vihara Dharma Tedja, located on Jalan Angke Indah, No.23A, RT 01/01, Angke Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta, was scorched by fire on Monday morning, June 19. The fire broke out at around 04.58 WIB.
"The object caught fire by a temple. The fire was successfully extinguished at around 06.00 WIB by 8 fire engines with 36 personnel," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syarifuddin when confirmed, Monday, June 19.
From the results of the temporary investigation, it is suspected that the cause of the fire was an electrical short in the Vihara building.
"The area of the object burned is about 200 meters. The loss is estimated at Rp. 300 million," he said.
Luckily, the flames did not cause any casualties or injuries. The fire was successfully extinguished by officers before a large bridge occurred.
