The Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Ensures That 9 Civil Servants Involved In Tukin Corruption Cases Will Be Fired

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif confirmed that he would fire 9 suspects in the case of performance allowances (tukin) from his position and profession as Civil Servants (PNS).

"Indeed, the status will break from the employment status," said Arifin, who was met at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Friday, June 16.

Arifin added that his party had received a report and had followed up on the report internally.

"The Tukin case actually we have received a report and are following up. It is in the process, so indeed this process accelerates the status of the 9 people and is legally processed, yes, if it has entered the realm of law, of course it must obey the rules," explained Arifin.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained nine suspects in the corruption case of distributing performance allowances (tukin) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). They were detained for 20 days in different detention centers.

"Starting from June 15, 2023 to July 4, 2023," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 15.

The nine people detained were Subdivision of Treasury Priyo Andi Gularso, Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Novian Hari Subagio, and PPK staff Lernhard Febrian Sirait.

Then there are other suspects, namely the Expenditure Treasurer Christa Handayani Pangaribowo, PPABP Rokhmat Annashikhah, SPM Operator Beni Arianto, Billing Tester Hendi, PPK Haryat Prasetyo, and accounting verification and recording executor Maria Febri Valentine. In fact, the KPK will detain ten suspects in this case.

However, he was not present because he was sick.

"Suspect A (Beharana Expenditures Abdullah) will still undergo his medical examination first and the KPK has coordinated with hospitals and PD IDI," he said.
