South Sumatra Police Secure Police Firearms In Musi Rawas Who Was Shot Dead In The Head

The South Sumatra Police Professional and Security Division Team confiscated a firearm belonging to a police officer who was found dead in Musi Rawas Regency.

Head of Bidpropam Polda Sumsel Kombes Agus Halimudin said Aipda P was an active member of the police who served as Head of the Paminal Unit of the Musi Rawas Resort Police.

Victim P was found dead in his official car with a head wound in the office helipad Agoropolitan area of Musi Rawas Regency Government, Thursday (15/6) at around 10.30 WIB.

"This confiscation is in the context of an investigation into the death of the victim (Aipda P)," he said.

According to him, based on the results of the post-mortem of the local hospital received by the police, the victim's head was injured because of gunfire. However, to further ascertain where the source of the gunshot wound was, the police confiscated the victim's firearm.

The firearms will be examined and matched with bullet casings that officers found during the processing process at the scene of the incident yesterday.

"Everything has not been confirmed, the investigation of this case is still ongoing and is carried out by a joint team from the South Sumatra Police with the Mura Police," he said. In addition to the process, his party confirmed that the victim's body had been buried by the family in his hometown in Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra.
