Riley Gough Appointed As Single Guardian, Lisa Marie Presley's Legal Fight For Asset Rights Ends
JAKARTA - The legal battle over the holder of assets belonging to Lisa Marie Presley is over. Riley Gough was appointed the only guardian.
Gough, who is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and also starred in Amazon Prime Daisy Jones & The Six, moved to agree to the deal on June 12 yesterday at the Los Angeles High Court.
His grandmother, Priscilla Presley, is set to receive an undisclosed amount to cancel her 2016 petition against the 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie's will, who replaces her as deputy guardian.
The future of asset rights was questioned following Lisa Marie's sudden death in January. 54 years old, she was the daughter of Priscilla and Elvis Presley, and died after being hospitalized with a heart attack.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla said in a statement announcing the news.
"She is the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known," he continued.
Following the death of his father who was hailed as King of Rock n 'Roll Lisa Marie became the only heir to his land. The asset was also managed by his mother, Priscilla, who married singer the song Suspicious Minds between 1967 and 1973.

When the trustee was dissolved on Lisa Marie's 25th birthday (1993), she formed a new trustee, who also retained her mother as asset manager and trustee.
However, earlier this year, Priscilla Presley filed a lawsuit questioning the validity of Lisa Marie's daughter's will, after being reportedly changed in 2016 to remove Priscilla and former business manager, Barry Siegel, as guardians.
The "recognized" amendment named the children of Lisa Marie, Riley Gough and Benjamin Gough as "changers of trust" after her death. Benjamin died in 2020, at the age of 27.
Priscilla's lawyers claim that there are "many issues surrounding the authenticity and validity" of the amendment, including misspelling Priscilla's name that was supposed to be signed by her daughter, and failing to tell her about the change.
They also claim that Lisa Marie's signature also "seems inconsistent with her usual signature", according to a court filing (via BBC News).
Priscilla and Kough's legal advisers reached an agreement on Lisa Marie's trust in May, and according to People magazine, Priscilla said at the time that "the Presley family was stronger than ever."
Now, as published by The Hollywood Reporter, it is confirmed that Riley Gough will be the only guardian of the asset rights, and Priscilla will receive an undisclosed amount to cancel any legal action against the will.
Following Lisa Marie's death, a public memorial service was held on January 22, where Alanis Morissatte, Billy Corgan, and Axl Rose were among those paying tribute. The memorial service took place in the front yard of the Presley family's Graceland home and museum in Memphis, Tennessee.
