Vice President Continues Working Visit To Samarkand Uzbekistan
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin continued his working visit to Samarkand City, Uzbekistan, after previously undergoing activities in Tashkent City for three days.
The vice president departed from Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan, boarded the Garuda Indonesia Airbus A330 Chartered Flight at around 15.00 local time, Wednesday, June 14.
The vice president is expected to arrive in Samarkand City at 16.00 local time, after traveling for an hour.
Before leaving for Samarkand, the Vice President took the time to visit the Islamic Civilization Center and Imam Hazrati Complex in Tashkent.
At the Imam Hazrati complex, the Vice President visited the Utsmani Al-Qur'an Museum and handed over the Koran in Indonesian translation to Uzbekistan.

The vice president also took the time to visit the tomb of Imam Hazrati, whose real name is Abu Bakr Al Shoshiy.
Furthermore, the Vice President also visited the East Amir Museum, which is a museum in memory of the Islamic ruler Sunni Amir Temur.
Meanwhile, in Samarkand, the Vice President is scheduled to receive a visit from the Governor of Samarkand, to a pilgrimage to the tomb of hadith expert Imam Bukhari and a number of other activities.
