Polda Metro Gerebek Perjudian Di Sawah Besar, 60 Orang Utama Lansia Diamankan

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya raided settlements that were used as gambling venues in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta. Of the raids, 60 elderly people were arrested.

"We managed to secure 60 people who were suspected, both as organizers and players," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Indrawienny Panjiyoga to reporters, Tuesday, June 14.

Of that number, the number of players or managers of gambling cannot be detailed.

"For the temporary amount of money, it is still being calculated and including its roles are still under investigation," he said.

"In general, the elderly. They are secured in the same place," continued Panjiyoga.

Panjiyoga said the location was not the first time taking action. However, the practice of gambling continues.

However, it was emphasized that the prosecution would not stop. This is because the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has ordered to eradicate gambling practices.

"We are committed to the order of the National Police Chief, we will continue to fight the crime of gambling in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya," said Panjiyoga.
