Acting Governor Of DKI Heru Budi Promises Equivalent PJLP Salaries According To The 2023 UMP
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono promised to equalize the salaries of other individual service providers (PJLP) in the capital city according to the provincial minimum wage (UMP) 2023.
"Yes, we will adjust it later (PJLP salary)," said Heru, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.
When asked further, Heru did not explain in detail when the adjustment of the salaries of the street vendors in Jakarta would be carried out.
Heru said that the wages of the PJLP will be increased according to the DKI Jakarta UMP 2023, which is IDR 4.9 million.
"Yes, later in accordance with the 2023 UMP, yes, according to the UMP," said Heru.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) member Inggad Joshua asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to equalize the PJLP wage according to the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of IDR 4,900,000.
"Of course it is impossible for PJLP's salary to be under the UMP, because the UMP applies to all of Jakarta, especially the UMP of Rp. 4,900,000, which is approval from the central government," said the Deputy Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
For now, the PJLP wage still refers to the 2022 UMP with an amount of IDR 4,600,000.
In fact, according to Inggad, the DKI APBD agreed to pay thousands of PJLP with wages according to the 2023 UMP.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPKD Expenditure Management Standard Management Unit, Meriani Jasara, admitted that there were technical problems in determining PJLP salaries.
"At that time there were several obstacles so that for 2023 the figure was still like in 2022 at the amount of the 2022 UMP, which was Rp. 4.6 million," he said.
He ensured that the budget shortage to meet PJLP salaries would be included in the DKI Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

Previously, the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Regional Personnel Agency (BKD), Etty Agustijani, said that the DKI Provincial Government through the Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) would calculate the budget needed to adjust PJLP's salary.
Based on the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 1153 of 2022 concerning the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono has officially suppressed the UMP amount of IDR 4,901,798 in December 2022.
"The Governor's Decree (Governor's Decree) is clear, it's just a matter of time when BPKD calculates the money. How much power is it? Later the TAPD team (regional government budget team) will decide," explained Etty.
Etty said that currently the number of PJLPs has reached 87,443 people. The tens of thousands of PJLP employees are spread across every regional work unit (SKPD).
"Overall, there are 87,443 PJLP spread across SKPD-SKPD," said Etty.
