Satpol PP Find Illegal BTS Towers In Jakarta, Will Be Dismantled
The West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) has again found a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) tower without permission or illegal on Jalan Haji Marzuki, Kebon Jeruk.
According to the Head of the Section (Kasi) for Security and Public Order (Kamtribum) of the West Jakarta Satpol PP, Edison Butar Butar, explained that the findings of the illegal BTS tower were discovered after complaints from residents.
"Based on the residents' complaints initially. Then we will follow up," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.
After being traced, BTS or telecommunication towers standing in residents' houses located on Jalan Haji Marzuki, Kebon Jeruk Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta, did not have a permit from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).
"The results of the inspection at the DKI Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (PMPTSP) do not yet have a permit or is not registered with the tower Building Permit (IMB)," he said.

His party confirmed that the BTS tower, which was established illegally, was planned to be dismantled. Including the BTS tower or telecommunications signal transmitter which was previously sealed in the Kalideres area, West Jakarta.
"We plan to demolish it. For the exact time, we are waiting for directions from the province," he said.
The illegal BTS tower action followed an appeal from members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Previously, the Satpol PP together with members of the DKI DPRD sealed the BTS tower located in Taman Semanan Indah, Kalideres, West Jakarta.
