Circle Announces Original USDC Stablecoin Launch On Arbitrum Network
JAKARTA - Circle, USDC stablecoin publisher announced its plans to launch the original USDC version on the Arbitrum blockchain network. The currently circulating USDC version will be replaced by the original token running on the Arbitrum network.
Circle plans to rename the existing Ethereum-based USDC version to "USDC.e", while its original version in Arbitrum will be called "USDC". The goal of this shift is to speed up transactions using cross-border transfer protocols (CCTP) and bring liquidity together.
