3 Hours, Police In Dompu NTB Struggle To Put Out The Fire Using Young Tree Rattings

The ranks of the Dompu Police, West Nusa Tenggara carried out a blackout of forest and land fires (karhutla) in the So Wila Mountains, Kramat Village, Kilo District.Kilo Police Chief Ipda Eka Farman said forest fires were sourced from land burning carried out by local people. After finding a hotspot in a forest fire, members immediately headed to the location, namely the So Wila Mountains, Kramat Village."After arriving at the location, the members tried to extinguish the fire with makeshift tools, including using young tree branches," he said.After being able to extinguish the fire, he admitted that he tried to meet with land owners and several other residents, to provide warnings as well as appeals not to carry out similar activities that have the potential for forest and land fires."Unfortunately, residents who burned the land were no longer at the location of the burned land," he said.With these findings, he will continue to monitor not only in locations where fires are indicated, but also a number of locations where residents are suspected of burning land.
