1 Kilogram Of Marijuana Confiscated By Cirebon Police, Perpetrators Circulate Through Courier Services
CIREBON - Cirebon City Police (Polresta), West Java, arrested a drug dealer of dried marijuana, where evidence of almost one kilogram of evidence was confiscated from the suspect using package delivery services.
"The suspect we arrested with the initials SY bought dried marijuana online," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Pol Arif Budiman as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 30.
Arif said the suspected marijuana-type narcotics dealer bought prohibited items from one of the people who was still being chased online.
In fact, continued Arif, the suspect used the delivery service to obtain the prohibited goods, and this of course needed tighter supervision from the owner of the goods delivery service.
According to him, the dried marijuana, which weighs almost one kilogram, can easily get past the supervision of the delivery service.
"The mode used by the suspect is by utilizing delivery services, and this is our concentration to make it more stringent," he said.
He asked the delivery service owners to be vigilant when getting goods shipments, because they can be misused by dealers to distribute marijuana and methamphetamine.

Arif added that from the suspect's hands, his party confiscated 800 grams of dried marijuana which was planned to be circulated in the jurisdiction of the Cirebon Police.
As a result of his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 112 in conjunction with Article 114 in conjunction with Article 127 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009, concerning narcotics with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
"We have asked for some information from the delivery service, until now there are still teams that are pursuing it," he said.
