Kylian Mbappe Decides To Stay At PSG, Real Madrid Bites Fingers
JAKARTA Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he will not leave French giant Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer as has been rumored.
The France international has recently been linked with his move to Real Madrid despite still choosing the remaining contract until 2024 and the option of an extension for another year.
However, after winning the Ligue 1 Player of the Year this season, Mbappe reiterated his commitment to remain in the uniform of Les Parisiens until next season.
"I want to thank the players, staff, everyone who works behind the scenes. I always want to leave my mark," Mbappe said.
Mbappe has brought PSG to the 11th Ligue 1 title by scoring 28 goals. The number of goals could increase because there is still one game left against Clermont on Sunday, June 4.
Thanks to his achievements above Mbappe was awarded his fourth individual award last weekend. The Best Player of the Top award saw him pass Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record.
"I didn't expect to win so much at the start of my career, but I am happy to be able to make history in my country. I am happy and I will be here next season," said Mbappe.
Mbappe has been linked with Madrid in recent seasons. However, last season he chose not to join the Spanish capital giant to sign a new two-year contract with Les Parisiens.
Despite deciding to stay in Paris, Mbappe's chances of moving to Madrid after next season are quite open. Moreover, the former AS Monaco player has expressed interest in Los Blancos several times.
