New Hope For Chelsea
JAKARTA - Chelsea finally officially announced Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager on Monday, May 29, WIB night. The arrival of the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach is expected to revive the glory of the Blues.
The arrival of the Argentine manager was welcomed by Chelsea co-sporting directorsih Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
" Mauricio's experience, superiority standards, leadership quality, and character will help Chelsea Football Club well as we move forward," Stewart and Winstanley from Chelsea's official website.
"He is the winning coach, who has worked at the highest level, in various leagues and languages. His ethos, his tactical approach, and his commitment to development have all made him an extraordinary candidate," he added.
The owners of the Todd Boehly club, Behdad Eghbali, Jose E. Feliciano, Mark Walter, and Hansjorg Wyss also welcomed the arrival of the former Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain bosses.
"We are delighted Mauricio will join Chelsea. Mauricio is a world-class coach with an extraordinary track record. We are all looking forward to his presence," said the club's five owners.

Pochettino is not a new figure on the EPL stage because he has managed two clubs, namely Southampton and Tottenham.
With The Saints, Pochettino made 60 appearances in all competitions with 23 wins, 18 draws, and 19 defeats. Meanwhile, with The Lilywhites, Pochettino recorded 293 appearances in all competitions with 160 wins, 60 draws, and 73 defeats.
Prior to being officially contracted by the London Blue team, Pochettino last coached Paris Saint-Germain and brought the French club to Ligue 1 and French Cup titles.
Together with Chelsea, the strategic ingredients of the man born March 2, 1972 will be assisted by several of his staff, namely Jesus Perez, Miguel d'Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino.
