Regarding Electrification, Pagani: We Are Working On It But The Battery Is Not Suitable
JAKARTA - A luxury vehicle manufacturer or a high-performance car specialist is currently looking at the electrification world by preparing the model for the future.
Take for example Lamborghini who is preparing Lamborghini Manage PHEV and release Revuelto with hybrid technology. There is also Ferrari which will introduce its first electric vehicle in 2025.
Seeing this, one of the supercar manufacturers from Italy, Pagani also wants to prepare an electric model. Christopher Pagani, son of the CEO and founder of Pagani, Horacio, said that his party has been working on developing electric hypercars since 2018.
Although, the launch of Pagani's first EV hypercar will not be launched in the near future due to heavy considerations on the car.
"Our goal is to create something with light weight. Seeing Pagani, what you see is the same as all the vehicles we produce," said Cristopher, quoted from Top Gear, Monday, May 29.
Christopher added, if technology can now be embedded in the Pagani car which will increase the weight of the car, then it will not be what it wants.

However, Christopher insists that Pagani is not afraid to innovate amid the onslaught of electric car production from various manufacturers. What's more, Pagani will also take advantage of his partnership with Mercedes-Benz, which has cutting-edge technology about electric cars.
"We are holding ongoing meetings with Mercedes-Benz and AMG, we are currently evaluating them. They are our current official partners, so when we need to build an electric car, we will make a decision at the end," Christopher said.
Pagani will also strive to keep the V12 engine which is the hallmark of the manufacturer in the next car. Which means, Pagani will combine the engine with an electric (hybrid) motorbike, although Mercedes needs to accept it.
