PKP3JH Reminds Potential Memory Disorders During Hajj
JAKARTA - Handling the First Crisis and Relief at the Hajj Pilgrimage (PKP3JH) reminded and appealed to pilgrims for Hajj candidates to prepare their physical, health and mental thoughts while carrying out the pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
"Hajj requires readiness not only physically, but also mental health of the mind. Given the importance of memory and clarity of mind for pilgrims," said PKP3JH executive dr.Leksmana Arry Chandra reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.
PKP3JH provides mitigation advice or prevention efforts in the form of steps that can be taken to avoid loss of memory during the Hajj trip.
First, pilgrims who are prospective for Hajj must prepare mentally by being solemn and focusing on spiritual practices such as reading the Koran and relaxing so that it can help keep the mind calm.
"A strong and relaxed mentality is the key to keeping a good memory," said Dr. Aleksmana.
Second, he said, stay physically active, namely exercising regularly which can increase blood flow to the brain and help increase memory, and third, adopt a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet.
"Avoid fatty foods, fast foods, and high sugar foods. Also make sure to drink enough water to avoid dehydration", said dr.
Fourth, he continued, train the brain by carrying out activities that can stimulate thoughts such as reading books, writing and reading the Koran to increase understanding and spiritual memory, and fifth, manage stress well because it can affect memory and concentration capabilities.

"The seventh, doing enough sleep every night to improve memory and memory consolidation, besides that it can help the mind and body fully recover, and eighth, can use applications or electronic devices specifically designed to help pilgrims remember the information and schedule," he said.
Finally, said Dr. Aleks, the importance of support from friends and family regarding the preparation of Hajj, previous experiences, and hopes for pilgrims can help strengthen memory and provide emotional support.
In addition, the health history of the congregation can also help officers in servingduyufurrahman or Allah's guest during the pilgrimage in the Holy Land, so that the case of Indonesian pilgrims due to loss of memory in the implementation of Hajj 1444 H/2023 AD does not happen again.
