Polrestabes Medan Gerebek Warehouse Storage Dozens Of Stolen Motors

MEDAN - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Medan Polrestabes raided a house that was used as a storage warehouse for dozens of stolen motorbikes in the Mencharim Pondok area, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.

The raid, Tuesday (23/5) officers managed to confiscate evidence of 28 units of motorcycles of various brands and arrested three people as collectors.

"Initially the Narcotics Unit, Sat Samapta and the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit held a joint operation targeting the theft of motorbikes and drugs," said Medan Police Chief Kombes Valentino Alfa Tatareda, accompanied by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Kompol Fathir Mustafa as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 25.

Fathir said that upon arrival at the location of the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel received reports of a house being used as a motorcycle storage warehouse.

From the report, personnel immediately went to the field to carry out raids and managed to confiscate as many as 28 motorbikes from the theft and arrested three people as collectors.

"The 28 motorbikes confiscated have been taken to the Medan Polrestabes, while three collectors are undergoing examination," he said.

He explained that currently all motorcycles are still being identified in relation to the vehicle number and ownership.

In addition, the three people who have been detained are still being investigated. They are still exploring the roles of the three.

"One of the arrested persons is on the wanted list (DPO) of violent theft cases," he said.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit explained that the roles of the three custodians were still being investigated.
