The Attorney General's Office Transfers 2 BTS Kominfo Corruption Suspects To The Public Prosecutor

JAKARTA - Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office have completed the investigation of two corruption suspects in the provision of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for Kominfo in 2020-2022 by handing over phase II to the Prosecutor's Office of the South Jakarta District Attorney.

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said that the delegation of phase II (suspects and evidence) was carried out today for suspects Mukti Ali (MA) and Irwan Hermawan (IH).

It is known that Mukti Ali (MA) is a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy.

After the second phase of delegation to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta District Attorney, the two suspects were detained for 20 days starting from May 22 to June 10.

"The suspect IH is being held at the Corruption Eradication Commission Rutan. And the Supreme Court suspect is being held at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office," Sumedana said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

The suspects Mukti Ali and Irwan Hermawan are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

Sumedana said that after the second phase of delegation, the Public Prosecutor's Team would immediately prepare an indictment for evidence at trial.

"The Public Prosecutor's Team has prepared a letter of indictment for the delegation of the two case files to the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court," said Sumedana.

In this case, investigators have named six people as suspects, namely Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as the President Director of BAKTI, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematics Indonesia. Then, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as a Human Development (HUDEV) expert at the University of Indonesia in 2020, Mukti Ali (MA) a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy. One suspect who has just been named, Wednesday (17/5), namely the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkoinfo) Jhonny G Plate.

The files of suspects Anang Achmad Latif (AAL), Gahole Menak (GMS) and Yohan Suryanto, have already been transferred to phase II to the South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday (2/5).*
