DPR Member Initial BY Reported For Domestic Violence Case, PKS Ensures Internal Sanctions
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKS DPP for Public Relations Ahmad Mabruri said the internal investigation process regarding alleged disciplinary violations by a member of the PKS faction in the DPR with the initials BY has been running internally at the PKS DPP.
He said the report from the public that came in was in the form of allegations of domestic violence (KDRT) by BY.
"This case is BY's personal problem and not a party issue," said Mabruri in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.
He emphasized that BY had also signed his resignation letter as a member of the DPR.
"The DPP is preparing the person concerned to make an interim replacement (PAW) in his position as a member of the DPR RI," he said.
Mabruri also emphasized that PKS does not tolerate violations of party discipline, either in the form of allegations of ethical or legal violations.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Honorary Court (MKD) Nazaruddin Dek Gam said he had received a complaint report regarding the violation of the code of ethics of one of the council members.
"We have received the report. It will be verified first by the MKD staff. If it is complete, we will immediately call them," said Dek Gam via written message in Jakarta, Monday.

Previously, a member of the DPR with the initials BY was reported to the House of Representatives Honorary Court (MKD) for alleged violations of the code of ethics related to domestic violence (KDRT) to his wife with the initials M.
"Today we made the complaint, the problem is that it is related to the moral ethics of a member of the council that should not have been carried out. Today we reported, and our report has just been received. This was just received," said the attorney for the victim Srimiguna.
"Earlier, what I said was that there was a domestic violence problem," said Diia.
The complaint was made by his party after the victim had previously taken legal action by reporting the legislator with the initials BY to the Bandung Police in November 2022.
Since May 2023, he said, the investigation process at the Bandung City Police has also increased and been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta.
Even though he had received a companion from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), he said that the victim's psychological condition was still unstable.
However, he was reluctant to reveal in detail the details of the identity, as well as the events experienced by the victim, along with the alleged violation of the code of ethics code that was reported because he was waiting for the DPR MKD trial process first.
"We don't have any names, we don't mention the names of the people, nor do we mention the names of the factions," he said.
