Gibran said that his party had coordinated with the Head of the Surakarta City Education Office (Kadisdik) Dian Rineta to handle this problem. According to him, until now the problem of teacher shortage is still being found so as not to interfere with learning activities. "I have met Kadisdik, the problem of teacher shortages and registration of new students is still safe. For new high schools, all requirements have been completed, it is safe," he said in Solo, Sunday, May 21. Head of Surakarta City added, currently in Surakarta the shortage of teachers, one of which is caused by the number of teachers who are retired every month around 25-30 people. In addition, according to him, there is a reduction in teachers due to conditions that are not expected to die, for example. "Currently, our position is short of teachers in almost 300s, starting from elementary to junior high school. So it's not only classroom teachers but also subject teachers," he said.

Related to this, his party seeks to optimize existing teachers while waiting for additional teachers through Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) and Contract Agreement Workers (TKPK). "One way that we do is by fulfilling it through TKPK, besides that, there is also equity. For example, there is a vacancy of three Indonesian teachers in two junior high schools, but only two are there, so we give it one by one," he concluded.
