Regent Asks For Public Facilities Security To Be Improved As A Result Of The Shooting Case In Depok Sleman
SLEMAN - Sleman Regent Kustini Sri Purnomo asked for the community's guarding activities to be increased again after the shooting of the Depok 1 Puskesmas on Thursday, May 11 evening.
"We appreciate the Sleman Police who managed to arrest five shooters. We ask that the residents in the community be raised again," said Kustini in Sleman, Special Region (DI) Yogyakarta, Wednesday, May 17.
To prevent similar incidents, he continued, the role of the community or residents should be improved again, especially in public facilities where all forms of criminal acts should be safe.
"Luckily, this is a night incident and there are no people. At service time, of course this is very dangerous. So the role of protecting residents must be increased, especially in public facilities," he said.
He said his party would coordinate with the Head of Depok 1 Health Center to find out the motive or background of the shooting incident because one of the perpetrators was a former security worker at the puskesmas.
"Whatever the motive, of course, the action cannot be justified. If it is true or not the reason (shooting), I will confirm it first," he said.
Previously, the Sleman Police managed to uncover the case of shooting the window of the Depok 1 Health Center and arrested five perpetrators.
"These five perpetrators have been named as suspects in the shooting case. The main perpetrator is the former security guard at the puskesmas," said Sleman Police Chief AKBP Yuswanto Ardi, quoted by Antara.
